Regional water authorities are working at sustainable water systems which are adjusted to climate change and which are compliant with water quality and water quantity and security standards. These water systems contribute to a safe and clean environment.

The regional water authorities wish to set an example with regard to sustainability and propagate their know-how and experience to other sectors and other countries. They contribute to a sustainable environment by a responsible use of resources and to fighting climate change by reducing the emission of greenhouse gases.
